The transnational call has a budget of about 13 Mio € for collaborative research and innovation projects in the following areas:
Applicants from the above mentioned countries are eligible for funding and applicants from other countries are eligible in case they finance their involvement from other sources. For further detailed information please download the MarTERA Call 2020 Announcement (see Call 2020 Documents box). The MarTERA Call 2020 is implemented as a two-step procedure (a pre-proposal and a full-proposal step). Step 1 deadline for the submission of pre-proposals is 27th March, 2020.
For preparation and submission of pre-proposals for the MarTERA Call 2020, an online submission tool is used. Please read carefully the Guidelines for Pre-Proposal Submission (see Call 2020 Documents box), which are decribing the process and required content of a pre-proposal.
Step 2 Outcomes
Full proposals with the total requested funding of € 15 million passed the step 2 procedure. The following table summarises the outcomes of the step 2 procedure of the MarTERA Call 2019.
In 2017, MarTERA opened the first transnational call for collaborative research which was initiated by 18 funding organisations of the former ERA-NET MARTEC consortium and JPI OCEANS members from 16 countries/regions and cofounded by the European Union under Horizon 2020.
Following the ranking of the International Evaluation Panel, the MarTERA Steering Committee recommended 19 full proposals for funding (total cost EUR 33 million, requested funding EUR 23 million). These 19 projects were granted funding from the national funding organisations and cofunding by the EU. All projects from the first MarTERA call started successfully in early/mid 2018. For further details, a brief summary of each project funded through the first MarTERA Call 2017 is available on our web sites.
