MarTERA opened a second transnational call for collaborative research projects in different areas of maritime and marine technologies.
The Call 2019 is implemented as a two-step procedure (a pre-proposal and a full-proposal step). After submission of the pre-proposals via the MarTERA online submission tool, the pre-proposals will be assessed according to the national criteria by the participating ministries/funding organisations. The project coordinator of an applying research consortium has to submit the pre-proposal on behalf of the consortium. Successful pre-proposals will be invited for step 2, where full proposals have to be submitted by the consortia.
Deadline submission pre-proposals: 29th March 2019, 17:00 CET.
The participating countries in the Call 2019 (Belarus, Belgium-Flanders, France, Germany, Ireland, Latvia, Malta, Norway, Poland, Romania, South Africa, Spain and Turkey) are supporting the following maritime and marine technology areas:
Financial support for the projects will be awarded by the national/regional funding ministries/organisations according to the national/regional guidelines. Only projects which receive funds from at least two countries will be supported.
Detailed information on the call procedure are compiled in the Call 2019 Announcement.
In 2017, MarTERA opened the first transnational call for collaborative research which was initiated by 18 funding organisations of the former ERA-NET MARTEC consortium and JPI OCEANS members from 16 countries/regions and cofounded by the European Union under Horizon 2020.
Following the ranking of the International Evaluation Panel, the MarTERA Steering Committee recommended 19 full proposals for funding (total cost EUR 33 million, requested funding EUR 23 million). These 19 projects were granted funding from the national funding organisations and cofunding by the EU. All projects from the first MarTERA call started successfully in early/mid 2018. For further details, a brief summary of each project funded through the first MarTERA Call 2017 is available on our web sites.
